For the second successive year pupils and staff from Priorswood Primary School were lucky enough to win another set of tickets to Wimbledon through the LTA – Tennis for Britain ballot.
The Priorswood group secured seats for Court 1 and had an amazing view of the under 18s girls singles final, which was a record-breaking match.
The children loved soaking up the incredible atmosphere, treated themselves in the gift shop, enjoyed Wimbledon’s famous strawberries and cream while watching some fantastic tennis, took part in fun activities, had some brilliant photos taken and even enjoyed lunch on Henman Hill.
Jake Ripley Outdoor Education Lead said: “Today truly was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and one that I hope the children will never forget.
“They have been an absolute credit to me, Rebeka Thompson class teacher, their parents and Priorswood. Even the Wimbledon staff commented on how polite and well-behaved they were throughout the day.
“We certainly had an ace day!”
