We welcome enquiries from parents of students who require primary school education and are considering a transfer to Priorswood Primary School. Parents who express an interest are invited to contact the school to arrange a tour with the Headteacher. The admission limits for each of our current year groups as of 1 September 2024 are as follows:
Year Group | Admission Limit | Currently on Roll |
---|---|---|
Reception | 30 | 23 |
Year 1 | 30 | 25 |
Year 2 | 30 | 30 |
Year 3 | 30 | 30 |
Year 4 | 30 | 30 |
Year 5 | 30 | 30 |
Year 6 | 30 | 25 |
The admission limits will be reviewed in readiness for the start of each academic year.
Applications should be made to the school directly. In-year application forms are available on our website below or from the school office.
Should your application be refused and you would like to appeal against this decision, please follow the appeal process on the Somerset Council website.
If you require a place for a child who is due to start school, follow this link to the Somerset County Council website.
You will need to apply for a Reception school place by a date in the middle of January for the following September when they will start school. There is an option to complete the form online and this is usually the easiest option. You will also be notified of the outcome online which means you hear a little sooner than if you receive a reply by post. Parents usually find out which school their child has been placed in on 16 April.
To apply for a place in our nursery (for pupils from the age of two) please contact the nursery directly on 01823 282169. Visits are warmly welcomed and again can be booked with the office.
Please contact the school reception on 01823 284897 or email us at [email protected] to arrange a visit. If you are considering applying for a place for your child, we recommend you visit the school during the school day to see us in action and to get a feel for us as a school.
We would kindly request when visiting the school to park with consideration out on the road rather than on the school drive which often becomes congested.
